Motivated by her love for God, His people, and advocacy for women's natural and spiritual health, Paula Mondisa’s passion for mentoring girls and young women continues to take new heights.
Having grown up in Chicago, Illinois, she has served as a missionary and well-respected teacher in Christian Education of Teens and Adults faithfully since 1988. Understanding the importance of strong role models and the need for hands-on tutelage in her community, in 2006 she founded Tween Ladies in Training. There she mentored young girls in the areas of personal development, self-esteem, and leadership skills for the next several years. In this uniquely safe space of leadership and care, Paula wasted no time in supportively nurturing these tweens into principled young ladies. By introducing them to the arts and multiple scholastic disciplines. She saw to it that their horizons were broadened for increased entrepreneurship and career opportunities. Paula has also done volunteer work with Crisis Nursery, DTAC Community Day, No Longer Forgotten Network and the Champaign County NAACP.

Enhancing her natural gifts and passion for empowering women to live and lead healthier lives, Paula has coupled her fervor with knowledge. Not only has she completed certification courses in Humanities through Bard College in Hudson, NY, but she also holds a background in Business Administration from Harold Washington College in Chicago, Illinois. Adding to this, Paula has attained formal education in CCED Small Business Development at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and training in Steps to Economic and Personal Success from the Pacific Institute at Seattle, Washington.
Feeling a tug in her heart to do more, in 2017 Paula was inspired to finally tell her story. Seeing the truth behind the saying, “life is a masquerade” and having experienced first-hand the unimaginable weight those masks can hold, Paula courageously took her passion for empowering women to another level. Launching into deeply transparent waters of healing, she amplified her lifelong pursuit of empowering women by amplifying her own voice on paper. She wrote and released her first book, Masking the Shame, in October 2020. The responses and testimonies from women of all ages signaled to Paula that her life’s work of encouraging, supporting, and strengthening women was far from over and catapulted her into a life of authorship and motivational coaching through her blogs: Prevailing through power, passion, and pen.
In her free time, Paula enjoys traveling, event planning, interior decorating and designing custom gift baskets. Paula currently resides in Champaign, IL. with her husband. They have three adult children and three grandchildren.

" Without question, 'Masking the Shame' is a powerful story of a dynamic testimony I never knew [Paula] had. Perhaps a future book, “UNmasking the Shame”, will prove to be the deliverance manual we never knew we needed. Riveting, courageous, and inspiring!"
